How your business-enquiry details are shared with vendors — and your control over it.
This policy applies only when you submit a business enquiry (a "Get quotes" / "Send Enquiry" form). It does not apply to simply browsing the directory or downloading software, which never require your personal details.
When you submit an enquiry and tick the consent box, we share the details you provide so that suitable providers can respond to you:

We do not share any payment information, browsing history, or data you did not enter into the enquiry form.
Your enquiry is shared with up to five (5) relevant verified vendors or service providers who can address your requirement. Each vendor receives it as an independent data fiduciary responsible for their own copy. They may contact you about this enquiry only, by phone, email or WhatsApp.
The sole purpose is to connect you with providers who can respond to the enquiry you submitted. Your details are not sold, rented, or reused for unrelated marketing, and we require receiving vendors not to resell them or use them to spam you.
We share your data on the basis of your explicit consent, given at the time of submission, under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We record the exact consent text, its version, and the date, time and IP address at which you gave it, as proof of consent.
We keep your enquiry and consent record for as long as needed to serve the enquiry and to meet legal, accounting and audit obligations. Where you ask us to delete your data or withdraw consent, we do so for data we are not legally required to keep, and stop any further sharing.
You may withdraw consent at any time, and ask us to access, correct or erase the personal data we hold about you, or nominate someone to do so for you. Email support@freesoftwarex.com from the address you used. Withdrawing consent stops future sharing; it cannot recall an enquiry already delivered to a vendor, but on request we will instruct recipients to delete your data.
For any grievance about how your data is handled, contact our Grievance Officer, FreeSoftwareX (operated by Infinity Solutions), at support@freesoftwarex.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
